Dear SSES Families,
This year the Physical Education Department will continue their support of the American Heart Association as we participate in the Kids Heart Challenge for the 18th straight year! Last year we reached our highest total of all-time, $34,215! The community has a lot to be proud of! Our goal this year is $35,000.
We did such a great job last year raising money to help save lives. We hope that many of you will join us again this year. The Kids Heart Challenge will kick off on January 21st and run through February 14th.
Here’s all you need to do:
Click here to go to the SSES KHC Website.
If you are a new user click "Sign Up", or if you have created an account in past years click "Log In."
Once you’ve registered, you can download the FREE mobile app for iPhone or Android by searching for Kids Heart Challenge.
This year, our goal is to get 300+ students to sign up and to accept a mission to either move more or be more kind! Sign up today and receive your FREE official 2024-25 Kids Heart Challenge tie dye wristband just for registering!
If you would like to donate to the American Heart Association, please do so online, as we will not be accepting cash or checks this year.
Funds raised support initiatives including:
• scientific research & accelerating science
• improving quality of medical care
• preventing e-cigarette and tobacco use in youth
• improving nutrition security.
To help raise awareness and support of kids with special hearts, you can complete Finn’s Mission. Join KHC and take Finn’s Mission to learn this life saving skill in under two minutes! Completing Finn’s Mission will enter you into a drawing to win tickets to the Super Bowl!! As well, for every 18 students that complete Finn’s Mission, our school will receive an entry into a drawing to win a $10,000 gym makeover!
Thank you for helping your child's school and the American Heart Association, which has been supporting schools like ours for 44 years.
Sincerely,
Mr. Bourret & Ms. Colasanto & Mrs. Brum
